It is my honor and a pleasure to welcome you to Harvest Ridge Elementary. I am extremely proud to serve as the Principal of the amazing learning community. Whether you are joining for another school year or for the first time I am excited to share all that Harvest Ridge has to offer our students and their families. Myself as well as our dedicated staff are ready to welcome you to Harvest Ridge where it is our mission to provide an inclusive learning environment that ensures high levels of learning to prepare students for the future.
At Harvest Ridge we value developing partnerships with families and the community to support students. We believe that working with our families will only increase the success of our students. Our top priority is to provide a sense of belonging and a sense of safety for our students as well as their families. We want all of our stakeholders to feel as if they belong to something really special and that we are part of a larger family.
Our staff is dedicated to providing and advocating for rigorous instruction for all of our students. We know that all students have different needs and it is up to us to meet each student right where they are at and support them in developing the skills needed to reach their full potential. Uniting as a school community to achieve common goals leads to academic success for all of our students.
We welcome open and collaborative communication in order to best serve our students and their families. Learning is a journey and we know that it takes a village of caring adults to put the best interests of our students at the center and purpose of our work. I am looking forward to working with you and having you alongside for your child’s/children's journey through Harvest Ridge.
As always, my door is open and our team welcomes your input. Please feel free to contact me via email below or call the main office to speak to me.
As a District focused on continuous improvement, each of our 23 schools develops a site-based school improvement plan every year. The plan outlines the goals and actions the building plans to take throughout the year to improve various areas of performance.
A pyramid of intervention is a tiered approach to prevention and intervention strategies to support students both academically and behaviorally. The pyramid uses a variety of strategies and techniques to help all students stay on the right track. The foundation of the pyramid offers Tier 1 supports for all students. Tier 2 interventions provide additional support for smaller groups of students who need more targeted help. Tier 3 provides the most intensive supports for individual students when Tier 1 and 2 interventions have been unsuccessful. Our schools review and update their pyramid on a regular basis to ensure new strategies are incorporated and all are aligned with best practice.
