Nathan Mackiewicz named Harvest Ridge Elementary Assistant Principal
The Francis Howell School District Board of Education has approved the hiring of Nathan Mackiewicz as the assistant principal at Harvest Ridge Elementary School for the 2024-25 school year. Mackiewicz currently serves as Harvest Ridge’s interim assistant principal.
In 2010, while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Lindenwood University, Mackiewicz seized an opportunity to become a Special Education facilitator at Becky-David Vacation Station.
The following year, Mackiewicz assumed the role of Assistant Program Coordinator at Independence Elementary School's Vacation Station and started his journey as a 5th-grade teacher at Independence. There, he thrived in a collaborative environment, working with dedicated colleagues and forming meaningful connections with families. During this period, he also completed his master's degree in Educational Administration at Lindenwood University.
In 2016, Mackiewicz transitioned to Harvest Ridge Elementary School, where he served as a teacher and department chair. Concurrently, he enrolled in the FHSD's two-year LEAP program for aspiring administrators.
During the summer of 2023, Mackiewicz led the north side of the District's summer school program for elementary schools, providing him with valuable experience and insights.
In assuming the position of assistant principal for the 2024-2025 academic year at Harvest Ridge, Mackiewicz brings not only his professional dedication but also a personal connection, as his three children attend the school.
